How Doses AI Keeps Patients Safe
Every prescription passes through multiple independent verification layers before reaching the patient. No single point of failure.
Private AI Analysis
Meta's Llama, an open-source large language model, runs entirely on our own GCP infrastructure. It analyses each prescription for drug interactions, dosage errors, contraindications, and allergy risks. No patient data is sent to any third-party AI service.
Human Clinical Review
A qualified reviewer on the Doses AI team manually reviews the AI's findings and makes the final clinical decision. They verify the analysis, check edge cases the AI may have missed, and either approve or reject the prescription with clinical notes.
Partner Pharmacy Check
The dispensing pharmacy independently verifies the prescription against their own clinical standards and stock availability. This is a fully independent check — the pharmacy has the authority to query or reject any prescription regardless of prior approvals.
Dispensing
Only after all three independent checks pass is the prescription dispensed to the patient. If any check raises a concern, the process pauses and the prescribing clinician is notified immediately. Patient safety is never compromised for speed.
Every prescription is checked by both AI and a human reviewer before reaching the patient. The dispensing pharmacy provides a third, fully independent layer of verification.
